This website was established to document the adoption of our first family dog, a GoldenDoodle, into the Brown family. The pup will join our 4 children and other pets (3 tanks full of guppies, tetras, catfish and algae eaters) in our busy, but fun home!

We have received our puppy from Doodle Lane out of the litter born April 13th, and we received one of the curly apricot males from the bunch.

We have named our new family member:

Buddy Scooby Doodle Brown

We had many great names picked out, in fact Indy (short for Indiana Jones) was a previous favourite, but we decided that these shaggy little pups looked more like a "Buddy"! The Scooby Doodle struck a chord also since we now have the entire Mystery Incorporated team (including the Mystery Machine van which I refuse to paint the original colours!):

Sarah = Daphne, Robbie = Shaggy, Christine = Velma, Jason = Freddy and of course our Buddy = Scooby Doo!

Look out creepy villians, here they come! Zoinks! The team is now complete!

Buddy is an official member of the group now!

Here is a picture at 5 1/2 weeks of our new arrival:

Buddy Scooby Doodle Brown

Here Buddy is in all his cuteness at 7 1/2 weeks and 7 pounds 10 oz:

Buddy in the violets at 8 1/2 weeks old and about 12 pounds:

Buddy at 10 weeks running in the yard (around 14 pounds):

Buddy at 11 weeks:

Buddy at 12 weeks and 21 pounds, and after his first trim around his eyes:

Buddy at 13 weeks and 24 pounds (my furry eyes are back!): Check out my loooong legs and huge paws!

Buddy at 16 weeks and about 33 pounds:

He has what we refer to as an 'otter tail' (virtually no feathering), and his body size is starting to match the length of his legs. When he is wet, his silouette shrinks by 50 percent, and you can see how lean he really is, and how strong his shoulders have become. He was able to outrun all the kids some time ago, now he can outrun me as well at his top speed!

His coat is still virtually untrimmed (except for some trimming around his face area and a bit off along the legs (done with scissors).
